Description

This module introduces the student to the social determinants of health and encourages them to explore the impact of inequalities in health and poor health literacy. Using research, literature and policy, students will consider the different public health approaches and interventions that can make a difference to the health and well-being of individuals, families and communities. 

Students will be encouraged to discuss and explore approaches open to district nurses to promote, protect and improve the health of individuals, families and communities using current public health data, policy and legislation.

  • Current enrolment on our PgDip/MSc District Nursing with V100 Prescribing (4335 -PgDip/4599 - MSc)
