Description

This module will enable the student district nurse to apply theory to practice and to integrate evidence into their prescribing activity. During the module, the student district nurse will consider the impact that research, literature, policy and legislation has on prescribing practice and the achievement of person-centered therapeutic outcomes. Students will explore and apply personal, ethical, empirical, aesthetic and socio-political aspects to their practice and maintain a person-centered approach to prescribing.

In line with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (2016) Competency Framework for all Prescribers, students will learn to apply a systematic evidence-informed approach to prescribing practice.

Students undertake this module alongside the PHN_6_008: Prescribing from the community practitioner formulary (V100).

Available as a standalone module: No
